Kattie Corte is a senior at Saint Peter’s University majoring in English with a minor in Journalism. She is a first-generation student and a proud Mexican American Latina whose first language is Spanish. She is the Opinion Editor of the Saint Peter’s Tribune student newspaper and during quarantine, became an Oral Historian interviewing many Saint Peter’s professors and Alums. In her spare time, Kattie likes to read, spend time with her family and friends, and watch movies with her brother. Kattie currently resides in Hudson County, New Jersey and is looking forward to learning more about New Jersey’s incredible history and culture! 

New Jersey Historic Trust launched Journey Through Jersey in 2017 to promote heritage tourism in New Jersey and to support and improve quality visitor experiences at the state’s many and diverse historic sites. Over the years, we welcomed several interns with different perspectives and skills.
