MEET JOURNEY THROUGH JERSEY'S SPRING SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN! January 24, 2022

Zach is a Junior at Monmouth University majoring in History and Political Science with a concentration in International Relations. He is working to empower and inspire other young people to become more civically engaged in their communities. He has previously worked with Governor Murphy and members of the New Jersey legislature on policies to improve youth participation in the democratic process. Zach’s latest project has been to establish the first legislative youth council in New Jersey history. He hopes to make our state’s historical resources more accessible to other young people. In his spare time, Zach likes to hike with friends, explore historic sites, and volunteer at his former scout troop. Zach currently resides in Ocean County, New Jersey and is looking forward to learning more about New Jersey’s rich history and culture!

The New Jersey Historic Trust launched Journey Through Jersey in 2017 to promote heritage tourism in New Jersey and to support and improve quality visitor experiences at the state’s many and diverse historic sites. Over the years, we welcomed several interns with different perspectives and skills. Zach’s interests in political science and history will lead to exciting content and informative blog posts in the spring!
